Zine Garden

Creative Direction Web Design Event Curation

Project Overview

Client: Self-initiated
Industry: Publishing, Creative Direction, Community Art
Timeline: May 2026 — 1-week workshop, followed by 3 months of website development
My Role:Creative Director & Organizer — concept, curation, and website design

I organized and directed a collaborative zine-making workshop bringing together five creatives to explore personal storytelling through print. I set the creative direction and format for the workshop, curated the resulting zines into a cohesive exhibition, and designed the website to showcase the work online — working with a developer to bring the site to life, with original music contributed by a collaborator.

The project extended beyond a single medium: physical zines, a live exhibition, and a digital archive, each requiring a different design approach while staying visually and conceptually unified. It was as much about facilitating other people's creative work as making my own — setting a container loose enough for five distinct voices to come through, while giving the whole thing a coherent identity.

Five creatives, one week, no rules but a stack of blank paper. What grew out of it needed a garden of its own — so I built one online.
